When thinking about buying a Chihuahua, you want the best dog for the right amount of money. Like everything else, you have to watch out for people who want to sell you these dogs. Some breeders are very reputable and some obviously aren’t. Here are some tips that may help you when looking to buy a dog.
You want to make sure that the dog you are buying is healthy. A true breeder will have a dog’s authenticity papers as well as a paper from a vet or doctor indicating the dog is in good health and if the dog is not in good health there should be a reason listed for what is ailing the dog.
Get the breeders license number and you can do a check to see if the breeder’s license is up to date and whether or not the license is valid. Dogs that are honestly true pure breeds will be listed with the American Kennel Club, contact them and find out if they know anything about the breeder you are talking with.
If a dog seems like it is too much money or even too little, there may be a reason for it. The dog could be sick or have a genetic problem that the so called breeder won’t mention, so they think if they sell the dog cheap then no one will ask a question because they would be too happy to pay a cheaper fee.
If the dog is too expensive, then it may be because the dog is a pure breed and they want to get as much money as they can out of you because they know how much you want the dog. Always do your research and you can’t go wrong.
