Aside from the very popular mini and pocket Chihuahua dogs there are two other words that describe the smallest breed of dogs, they are tea cup and deer face. These descriptions are not formally known as a type of Chihuahua by dog shows or by breeders they are just two slang type words. All Chihuahua dogs are called toy dogs because of their size but there is obviously no such thing as a toy dog.
The deer or deer faced Chihuahua are the type of Chihuahua dogs that don’t have the same facial characteristics as the others do. The other dog’s faces are apple shaped faces but the deer face dogs are a little longer in the nose area like a deer. There are even some Chihuahua dogs that have long faces like Doberman Pinscher.
There are actually some people who buy dogs that is that small and a little smaller, the problem with that is that those very small dogs are often the runts of their litters. The problem with runts is that because of their size, their health is not the same as a bigger size dog. Some dogs because of their size sometimes need special care. These dogs are not right for breeding.
But some people breed them anyway because they want to sell the litters. The true breeders with impeccable reputations don’t approve of this for the reason that those breeders could sell a sick puppy to people and not tell them or maybe even realize they are sick because you can’t tell if a puppy is going to be sick when they are born. If you are going to buy a Chihuahua make sure they are with a reputable breeder and that all dogs have their papers.
